Housekeeping
Front door
Please keep the front door closed and locked and do not let visitors in for other residents. Visitors must talk on the entryphone to the resident they are visiting and only be buzzed in by them if appropriate.
No noise after 11pm
We kindly insist that everyone keeps noise to a minimum after 11pm at night. Even though all floors above bedrooms are carpeted, if you need to raise your voice to talk then the noise in your flat will be disturbing anyone trying to sleep in other flats. Please be considerate of others and they will be considerate of you.
Cleaning
The hallway and stairs are cleaned every fortnight on a Wednesday morning. Residents are responsible for cleaning up after themselves in the meantime, especially any mess in the hall, outside or that could lead to permanent damage.
Refuse
Place all refuse in the dustbins outside the front of the building. These dustbins are emptied on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Please put plastic and glass bottles, tin and aluminium cans, rags, paper and cardboard in carrier bags in the green recycling bin so that they will be recycled. All other refuse goes in the two black bins. If you want to know more about recycling call 7341 5148. For collection of refuse that is too big for the bins, call 7341 5284.
Parking
One car parking permit is available per flat that allows you to park the specified car in resident's parking spaces on roads anywhere in Kensington and Chelsea. (This includes around Kensington High Street, Kings Road and south-west of Knightsbridge tube and even on parking meters after 9:30am without paying!) Phone 7361 2810 for an application form.
Vehicles without a parking permit must not be parked on the road between 8am and 7pm Monday to Saturday because they will get a £50 fine. Visiting cars may only park in resident's parking spaces overnight and on Sundays. You can pre-book a space in one of the Olympia car parks (up to 7 working days in advance) by telephoning 0800 056 8444 and using your Visa, American Express or Mastercard. This is the safest way to park visitors' cars.
Dry cleaning
Mac Gill Dry Cleaners is near the Londis convenience store on Napier Road behind the Crown and Sceptre pub.
