Emergencies

In case of emergency, please phone the following numbers immediately:

Medical doctor

For emergency in-house assistance dial 999 and ask for an ambulance to be sent to 32 Russell Road, W14 8HU. Give the operator your phone number and describe the problem: How many people are hurt? How old is the patient? Is the patient conscious? Is the patient breathing? Do not hang up, follow the instructions offered as the ambulance responds. If you can move the patient, your nearest Accident & Emergency is at Charing Cross Hospital on Fulham Palace Road in Hammersmith.

For urgent medical advice call the 24hr doctor on 8969 0808 or NHS Direct on 0845 4647. To make a non-emergency appointment to visit a general practitioner call the Kensington Park Medical Centre on 7603 5206.

Fire

For urgent assistance dial 999 and ask for a fire engine to be sent to 32 Russell Road, W14 8HU. For small fires, smother the flames with a very wet towel and wait for it to cool.

Smell gas

Do not operate any electrical switches, on or off. Open all windows. Turn the gas supply to your flat off at your meter under the hall stairs. Call 0800 111 999 for assistance finding the leak.

Water leak

There is one stop valve for the whole house in the basement of the Ground Floor Maisonette. If you can gain access to it, turn the water supply off there. Otherwise call 0645 200 800 for Thames Water to turn the main supply off in the street. Call 7584 1234 for a plumber to fix the leak.

Electrical failure

If there is any possible danger, isolate the electricity supply to your flat at the power distribution board under the hall stairs. Please note that the hall lights are powered through the First Floor Flat's Lights circuit breaker. Call 7584 1234 for an electrician to fix the problem.

Police

For urgent assistance dial 999 and ask for police to be sent to 32 Russell Road, W14 8HU. To report any other incident call Notting Hill police station on 8246 0169.

Heating

Call 7584 1234 for an estimate for repairs and maintenance to heating systems.

Builder

Call 7584 1234 for a builder to estimate for repairs to general damage.
